Witten's Pro Bowl Streak Ends At Seven

On Wednesday, Witten expressed disappointment over not making the cut

The Pro Bowl rosters announced Tuesday night will inevitably look a lot different than the rosters we’ll see in the game--if we choose to watch it, that is, which is kind of doubtful. But between the guys participating in the Super Bowl, and those who are “injured,” there’s always a deluge of replacements in the game. But, as it stands now, Jason Witten’s Pro Bowl streak will end this year at seven appearances in a row.

On Wednesday, Witten expressed some disappointment over not making the cut this season, as two NFC East tight ends, the Saints’ Jimmy Graham and the Falcons’ Tony Gonzalez, were voted to the two spots representing the NFC.

"The other two guys had great seasons,'' Witten said, per the Dallas Morning News. "Unfortunately it didn't work out. Give those guys credit. They had good years. You always want to do your best and put yourself in position. I felt like I had a great year. Other guys I guess had better years.

"It's always a disappointment. They earned it for sure.''
