It’s been over a month since the Dallas Cowboys have won a game, and while tight end Jason Witten isn’t going to call the team “desperate” for a win, the feeling seems to be there.
“Yeah, we need to get a win,” Witten said, per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News. "I feel like you're tricking me with the desperate, but, yeah, we need to get a win.''
When Tony Romo was hurt in Week 2--the Cowboys’ last win--the general feeling was that everything could be fine, so long as they didn’t go 0-for-Romo’s absence. They then summarily lost three straight in Romo’s absence, and they know that’s not a trend that can continue if they want to have a chance when the All-Pro quarterback does finally return.
After all, Romo is out for at least another month.
“We need to go win a football game,” Witten said. “It's a division game. To get to 3-0 in the division would be big. There's no question it's an important game.”
