Why JJ Wilcox Doesn't Want to Compare Dez, Odell Beckham, Jr.

Bryant and Beckham Jr. are pretty much universally considered two of the best receivers in the game

Dallas Cowboys safety JJ Wilcox seems about as qualified as anyone to draw a comparison between receivers Dez Bryant and Odell Beckham Jr., because he has lined up against both--Bryant just about every day in practice for the past couple of seasons, and Beckham in two games last year.

But Wilcox doesn’t want to get into that particular comparison.

“You’ve got to understand, Dez has been doing this four, five, six years, this guy just came in one year,” Wilcox said, per the Dallas Morning News. “But he’s a great player at what he does and at his position. I don’t want to compare the two because Dez has been doing this for years.

“It’s just different levels. When a tight end like Jimmy Graham and Jason Witten, Jason Witten has got a little bit more on him because he’s been doing it for a longer time, so it’s the same thing with those two. They’re both great at their positions and both of them make great plays.”
