What Does Murray Exit Mean for Dez?

Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray are seemingly pretty tight.

Bryant is still a Cowboy, but not really on his terms — as he was given the franchise tag instead of a long-term deal he was seeking, and still might get.

Murray is now gone after the Cowboys decided (wisely, mind you) to not break the bank on a running back coming off a year with nearly 400 carries and closer to 500 touches, and Bryant has to be wondering what the money freed up by not extending him is going to be used for.

Bryant took to Twitter on Thursday, saying he understands the business decision on Murray's part, but was sad to see him go. Those two were the heart and soul of the Cowboys' offense, and now Bryant's alone in that distinction.

Smart money says the Cowboys eventually lock up Bryant long term before training camp begins, but if not, his perceived slight coupled with Murray's exit could leave some bad blood between the Cowboys' star receiver and the Joneses.
