Were Corey White, Christine Michael Cut For Not Wearing Suits?

White and Michael reportedly showed up to last week's road trip out of team dress code

As the Dallas Cowboys beat the Miami Dolphins 24-14 on Sunday, a strange tidbit emerged concerning the release Tuesday of running back Christine Michael and cornerback Corey White.

Namely, that they didn’t wear suits on last week’s road trip to Tampa, which is required by Jason Garrett, and that that might have played a role in their release.

Obviously, the biggest issue wasn’t the pair’s clothes, but their uninspired performance on the field through the first half of the season. But according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News, the clothes were an issue.

"Sometimes you just have to drop the hammer," an unnamed Cowboys player said.

Interestingly enough, White confirmed to TMZ that the dress code had something to do with his release, saying that he wore a button-down and slacks that he thought would be acceptable under the rules. But they weren’t, apparently, and White said he isn’t mad about it.

I'm not angry,” White said. “It’s the rules.”
