Ware Now Has Franchise Record For Multi-Sack Games

DeMarcus Ware sacked Tom Brady twice in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots to bring his total on the year to seven; the Pats game also represented Ware’s third multi-sack game of the season and the 20th of his career--a new franchise record for the Dallas Cowboys.

Ware passed Greg Ellis and Jim Jeffcoat with his second sack of Brady on the day, a play that helped kill a Patriots drive early on in the second half. He is now tied for third in the league in terms of sacks with Philadelphia’s Jason Babin, behind only Minnesota’s Jared Allen (9.5) and the Giants’ Jason Pierre-Paul (7.5).

"He has been an outstanding player for a long time,” head coach Jason Garrett said after the game, per the Dallas Morning News, “and certainly a guy who is one of the marquee players in the league.”

Agreed.
