Tyrann Mathieu on How He'd Stop Odell Beckham Jr.

Mathieu and Beckham were teammates at LSU

After working with Odell Beckham Jr. in last week’s Pro Bowl, Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin warned Jason Garrett and the Dallas coaching staff that the young New York Giants receiver was a “bad man,” and one that they’d have to deal with for years to come.

On Wednesday, Arizona Cardinals’ cornerback Tyrann Mathieu--who was a teammate of Beckham’s at LSU--told NBCSN’s “Pro Football Talk” what he’d do to stop that bad man. (Pay attention, Cowboys cornerbacks.)

I think somebody in his face the entire game, it’ll probably give him some trouble,” Mathieu said.

Beckham, who was on the show as well, didn’t disagree with Mathieu’s take.

“It’s true, it’s true,” Beckham said. “That’s probably one of the things that I want to work on the most is just that press game. I feel like if you can get that first five yards down, I feel very comfortable about the rest of my game.”
