There was a collective cheer from the players, media, and staff when the final horn sounded at the Alamodome Wednesday, just after 12:00pm. We've (media) never been so excited not to talk to the players after practice. It's time to leave training camp, and come home.
The players are extra excited to head north on I-35. They just went through 31-practices without a day off. In fact, they were so anxious to get into their cars in the stadium parking lot, they ran off the field into the tunnel. They didn't stop to talk to the media, or sign autographs for the fans. And honestly I can't blame them. The only two dumb enough to give us media hacks some time, were San Antonio native Sam Hurd, and rookie quarterback Stephen McGee.
The Cowboys have team meetings Thursday, then kickoff the new era at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington at 7 p.m. against the Tennessee Titans.
