Three Phases: Cowboys-Eagles

Every week, we'll grade the Cowboys on the three phases of the weekend's game.

Offense: B

They put up 27 points, which is great considering what they've been doing in recent weeks. But Matt Cassel also gift-wrapped a pick-six to Cowboys killer Jordan Hicks. Cassel threw for 299 yards and three scores, including two to Cole Beasley and one to Dez Bryant, who both eclipsed the 100-yard mark receiving. Darren McFadden rushed for 117 yards. All the numbers were there. Just not enough to get the job done and they gave the Eagles a touchdown.

Defense: F

Once again, the defense faded down the stretch, and once again, they failed to force a turnover. Now, to be fair, they had guys dropping like flies late in the game, most notably Sean Lee. Lee suffered another concussion — his second this year — and DeMarcus Lawrence was hurt late, as well. In all, the defense gave up 459 total yards, which isn't going to win many games.

Special teams: A

Lucky Whitehead had a big night in the return game, and Dan Bailey was nails in the kicking game, including a 44-yarder in the closing seconds of regulation to force overtime.
