Three Phases: Cowboys-Bills

Every week, we'll grade the Cowboys on the three phases of the weekend's game.

Offense: F
The bright spots: Brice Butler and another strong effort from veteran running back Darren McFadden, who eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark on the season.

He totaled 99 yards in the game, falling just shy of his third straight 100-yard game. Other than those two, it was really ugly, and all the Cowboys could muster was two Dan Bailey field goals.

Defense: B
The Cowboys gave up more than 400 yards, including 236 on the ground. Those numbers aren't good. But, they did hold Buffalo to 16 points and forced two turnovers, including a big interception in the end zone.

Sean Lee was in on 15 tackles and DeMarcus Lawrence had his seventh sack in his last seven games. Greg Hardy had a half-sack, so there's that.

Special teams: C
Dan Bailey missed a field goal, which is about the most rare occurence in football these days. Chris Jones did pin three punts down inside the Bills' 20-yard line.
