T.O., A-Rod Make List Of Most Disliked Athletes

Forbes' list of the most disliked athletes in America isn't without its DFW connections

As you already know by now if you read this blog, Terrell Owens is no longer an NFL superstar. Actually, he’s not even an NFL player, as he couldn’t find any takers on a 38-year-old coming off a knee injury in 2011. He’ll be formally welcomed to his new team, the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, tonight. But his fall from grace hasn’t done too much to soften much of the public’s dislike of him.

The ever polarizing Owens was recently named one of the ten most disliked athletes in America, in a poll conducted by Nielsen and E-Poll market research and published on Forbes.com. The poll takes into account all athletes that register a 10 percent awareness with the public.

Of those polled, 45 percent said they disliked Owens.

The list also includes NFLers Michael Vick, Plaxico Buress and Ndamukong Suh, all of whom registered more dislike than Owens from fans polled.

No. 81 isn’t the only man on the list with connections to the Metroplex. Former Ranger Alex Rodriguez made the cut as well, as did Tony Romo’s playing partner in this weekend’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Tiger Woods.
