As expected injured corners Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins missed the morning workout today at the Alamodome. Mike Jenkins was out early, did some stretching and work on the sidelines before heading for treatment.
As for Newman, he was also doing some work on the sidelines. When he saw the camera's pointed his way, he greeted them with a double-dose of middle fingers.
Newman hasn't been speaking to the media recently. When I asked him yesterday Newman's response, "Um...No. I've been told not to talk to you guys."
Both players status for the preseason opener is still uncertain, although it's unlikely Newman will play. Opening the door for rookies like Mike Mickens, and DeAngelo Smith.
