‘Skins Rookie Calls Cowboys “Losers”

DeJon Gomes, a defensive back out of the University of Nebraska, has only been a Washington Redskin for about a week, but it appears that he has already developed a distaste for the Dallas Cowboys.

Gomes was selected in the fifth round of last week’s NFL Draft by the Redskins, 146th overall. He recently made an appearance on ESPN Radio 980 in DC, where he was asked by host Doc Walker to play a little word association game.

All right, let me do word association,” Walker said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I’m gonna give you an IQ test. I’ll say a word, you tell me what the first reaction to it is. Dallas Cowboys.”

“Losers,” Gomes responded.

Obviously, the response was well received by the people in studio. The Cowboys on the other hand, who may take exception to trash talk from a man who has yet to play a snap in the NFL, will have their chance to make a rebuttal on September 26, when the two teams meet on Monday Night Football.

That is, if the lockout has ended by then.
