Sensabaugh Will Play Against Chicago, Says Gerald Sensabaugh

Gerald Sensabaugh is dealing with a calf strain suffered in week two

Safety Gerald Sensabaugh’s presence in the Cowboys’ defense will be all the more important moving forward as the team lost Barry Church for the season with a ruptured Achilles on Sunday--and according to Sensabaugh himself, he will be on the field in week three when the Bears come to town after missing the home opener.

"I hate missing games," Sensabaugh added on Wednesday, per ESPN Dallas.

Sensabaugh was a full participant in the team’s walkthrough practice on Wednesday, and even if he returns, Dallas remains pretty thin at the position. Rookie Matt Johnson is still hurt, dealing with back issues, which leaves Mana Silva and Danny McCray as the only truly healthy safeties on the roster.

In an effort to shore up the group, Dallas auditioned five safeties on Wednesday.
