Sean Lee: Every Linebacker In The League Looks Up To Ray Lewis

Lewis is in his 17th season in the NFL

It’s no surprise that Cowboys’ linebacker Sean Lee has a good deal of respect for Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis, because everyone in the NFL has a lot of respect for Ray Lewis. That said, Lee plays the same position as Lewis, meaning that, despite the fact that they’ve never met, they share something of a bond.

“He’s been around a long time and he’s been one of the best if not the best of all time,” Lee said, per ESPN Dallas. “The way he’s played, the passion he’s played the game with, every linebacker in the league looks up to a guy like that.”

Lewis is now in his 17th year in the league, a fact that amazes Lee, who is in his third.

“Not only to play, but to play at a high level,” Lee said. “This is what year 16 or 17 for him? And to play that long, but to also play at an extremely high level, that’s something that’s a testament to him and how hard he works and the type of player and person he is.”
