Scandrick: No Depth Issues In Secondary

Orlando Scandrick believes Dallas will be just fine when Morris Claiborne and Mike Jenkins return to action

There’s a good chance Mike Jenkins will be sidelined until the start of the regular season as he continues to recover from major offseason shoulder surgery, and Morris Claiborne is once again off the field, after suffering a sprained MCL just around a week after he was cleared to practice following wrist surgery.

But if you ask Orlando Scandrick, there’s no reason to fret and certainly no depth issues in the Cowboys’ new-look secondary.

"I don’t understand how we’re thin," Scandrick said. "Morris is going to be back soon. Mike is going to be back soon and we’ve got some other capable guys.

"It’s not like we’re all going to be playing at the same time in the first place. Morris and Mike will be back."

Scandrick believes that whenever Jenkins does return, his experience will expedite the process of getting back into the swing of things, so to speak.

"Mike is a veteran player," Scandrick said. "He will be mentally prepared and physically ready whenever his time comes."
