Russell Wilson: “Dez Bryant is One of the Good Guys in the League”

Wilson is the second Seahawk to defend Bryant after he was accused of taunting an injured player on Sunday

Not long after the clock hit zeros in the Dallas Cowboys’ 13-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday evening, Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin tweeted out a defense of Dez Bryant in response to a Vine video that purportedly showed the All-Pro receiver yelling at the injured Ricardo Lockette “That’s what you (expletive) get.”

Irvin wrote, sic, “Dez was talking to the officials the whole time never said anything about lock.”

This corroborated what Bryant said all along. In fact, Bryant became so upset over the accusation after the game that he threatened to stop talking to the media completely.

On Wednesday, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson joined the discussion and, like Irvin, he backed Dez.

Dez Bryant is one of the good guys in the league,” Wilson said, per the Seattle Times. “He would never do that. He would never wish ill on anyone. He’s not that type of person at all by any means. That’s just somebody making something up.”
