Rotoworld.com Mocks a Wide Receiver to Dallas in the NFL Draft

These days I try to check out all the NFL Mock Drafts that I can looking for what player certain media outlets have the Cowboys taking with the 4th overall pick.

Josh Norris, of Rotoworld.com, is one of my favorites; I’ve had him on my NBC Sports Radio show “Voices of the Game” a few times. He does his homework.

With that said, I totally disagree with his mock pick for the Cowboys. He explains why he thinks Jerry Jones is going for a wide receiver: "4. Dallas Cowboys - Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell - Treadwell and Dez Bryant on the same team? Why?.... Why not.Terrance Williams’ contract is up after 2016 and he is an average talent at best. Jason Witten is very close to transitioning from Dad Running to Dad Power Walking. Treadwell is an ultra-physical receiver both before and after the catch."

NBC 5's Pat Doney would love to see this pick happen. I do not.

We constantly hear the saying, "It's a Quarterback League." It's is not a wide receiver league, despite the greatness of Dez Bryant, Antonio Brown, Megatron and others.

The Patriots won the Super Bowl last year with Julian Edelman (a 7th round draft pick), Danny Amendola (undrafted) and Brandon LaFell (3rd round pick by Carolina) as their receivers.

I'm still thinking the Cowboys need to think about replacing Tony Romo in a few years and should use the fourth pick to select a signal caller.
