The Dallas Cowboys’ final restricted free agent, guard Ronald Leary has signed his restricted free agent tender, the team’s official website announced on Thursday.
Leary got the second round-level offer worth $2.553 million, which means the team would have received a second round pick in compensation had he departed for an offer sheet elsewhere. Instead, he’ll be a Cowboy for a fifth season.
A University of Memphis product, Leary came to Dallas as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He has started 35 games since then, and spent two seasons (2013 and 2014) as the Cowboys’ starting left guard. He lost that job to La’el Collins last year but still started four games.
The only other Cowboys restricted free agent going into the offseason was safety Jeff Heath, and he signed a four-year deal a couple weeks ago.
