Romo: “We Don't See Jerry Day-to-Day”

Tony Romo dismisses the idea that Jerry Jones is a meddlesome owner in any way

The perception of Jerry Jones as a meddlesome owner, always around to the detriment of his own team, is overblown according to quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo was asked this week if having Jones around “day-to-day” was helpful or hurtful for the team. The Dallas signal caller demurred before launching into a statement of praise for his boss.

“I guess I don’t know what you mean by ‘having the day-to-day.’ We don’t see Jerry day-to-day,” Romo said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I think, more than anything, he’s a fantastic owner. I’ve been very lucky to have someone who loves to win and compete as much as I do. We’re just lucky to have that here in Dallas. Jerry’s been fantastic. I think everybody that has worked for him will tell you that. The rest of it, that’s just stuff that kind of gets talked about that’s probably not very accurate.”
