Romo Says Witten Might Be Best Cowboy Ever

Jason Witten is the team's all-time leader in receptions

There’s no doubt Jason Witten is in the discussion of the best tight ends of all time, and he’s certainly one of the best Cowboys of his era, but could he actually be the best Cowboy of all time?

That seems highly, highly debatable. But quarterback and friend Tony Romo says yes.

"He might be the best Dallas Cowboy of all time," Romo told Seattle reporters during a conference call this week, per ESPN Dallas. "Literally, his career has been exceptional. He's hit every mark you could ever have, and he's going to go down as the first- or second-greatest tight end of all time. I've just been lucky enough to play with him."

A nine-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro, Witten is the Cowboys’ all-time leader in receptions with 898 and is second on the team’s all-time receiving yards list to Michael Irvin.
