It took a while, but Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense is rolling right now. A pair of Romo touchdown passes have given the Cowboys a 17-7 lead at the half.
The first was a 59-yard strike to Miles Austin to give the Cowboys a 10-7 lead. After a defensive stop, Romo showed flashes of 2007, using his feet to find Patrick Crayton in the back of the end zone to make a 17-7 score.
It was not a banner start for the Cowboys. Atlanta marched right down the field on a 16-play, 80-yard touchdown drive to take a quick 7-0 lead. On the ensuing possession, the Cowboys were forced to punt, and we had first quarter boos.
But the defense settled down, sacking Matt Ryan three-times, and forced two-turnovers to get the Cowboys back in the this game.
Romo is 13-17, for 185-yards and two-touchdowns.
