Romo Finishes In 5th At American Century Championship

The annual celebrity golf tournament wrapped up on Sunday in Lake Tahoe

Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo was favored to win it all at the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament held annually in Lake Tahoe, but finished 5th behind former NHLer Dan Quinn and a few alumni of the NFL Quarterback Club over the weekend.

Romo earned 56 points over the course of the week, 10 back of the winner, Quinn. Former Redskin Mark Rypien came in second with a score of 60, followed by Billy Joe Tolliver,  Pro Football Hall of Famer John Elway and (of course) Romo.

Of Romo’s current teammates in the tourney, Miles Austin finished tied for 68th and Jason Witten finished tied for 73rd. Former Cowboys’ running back Emmitt Smith ended Sunday tied for 62nd.
