Report: Ware Might Not Need Elbow Surgery After All

DeMarcus Ware has already undergone shoulder surgery this offseason

DeMarcus Ware’s offseason surgery count may be staying put at one.

According to a report by ESPN Dallas
, there’s a good chance that the All-Pro outside linebacker (and soon to be defensive end in Monte Kiffin’s Tampa 2 system) will not need surgery on his elbow to clean up some wayward bone spurs. It had been previously reported that such a procedure was likely for the veteran.

Back in January, Ware underwent surgery to repair a torn right labrum, an injury that hampered him down the home stretch of 2012, and required him to wear a harness. He still managed to post 11.5 sacks, his seventh consecutive year with a double-digit sack total, dating back to 2006.
