Report: NFL Considering Moving Cowboys-Saints To Sunday Night

Dallas is 0-7 in their last seven Sunday Night games

Now, a bit of bad news for folks who have taken the Dallas Cowboys’ recent history in Sunday Night games as a sign that the Cowboys would do well to avoid Sunday night games altogether: According to Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News, the NFL is considering flexing the Cowboys-Saints game on December 23rd to primetime on NBC.

As Horn points out, the game currently slated for that night is kind of a stinker. It’s the disappointing Jets and the seemingly perennially disappointing Chargers.

If the NFL wants, it can put Dallas in that spot, because Dallas will have only played four primetime games to that point--their matchup with the Eagles at Cowboys Stadium on December 2nd will be their fourth primetime matchup of 2012--and league rules stipulate that a team can play a maximum of six primetime games a season.

Problem is, the Cowboys are 0-7 in their last seven Sunday night match-ups.
