Report: Mike Jenkins Facing 4-6 Months of Rehab

Jenkins underwent surgery on his right shoulder last week

Mike Jenkins, the Dallas Cowboys’ best cornerback in 2011, is looking at four to six months of rehab after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder last week, a source told ESPN Dallas Thursday.

Jenkins suffered the injury in the team’s first loss to the New York Giants, and aggravated it in the second meeting between the teams, which, of course, would be the season finale for Dallas. It was an unfortunately fitting end to a season hampered by injury for Jenkins.

The South Florida product missed all of the preseason and most of training camp with a stinger. He suffered an injury to his left shoulder in the season opening loss to the Jets on September 11, and missed four games in the middle of the year with a hamstring injury.
