Report: Josh Brent Won't Be Permitted On The Sidelines Going Forward

Brent's presence at last week's win over the Steelers caused some controversy

The mini-controversy created when Josh Brent was shown on the sidelines during Sunday’s win over the Steelers apparently won’t be repeated.

ESPN Dallas is reporting that Brent, who is facing intoxication manslaughter charges stemming from the single-car accident that took the life of practice squad linebacker Jerry Brown, will not be allowed back.

Brent was reportedly asked by several of his teammates to attend, and neither Jerry Jones nor Jason Garrett knew he was going to be there prior to the game. Midway through the third quarter, once Brent began to feel that he was becoming a distraction, he left.

Last week, Brent’s season came to an official end when Dallas placed him on the non-football reserve list.
