Report: Felix Jones Trade Rumors “Totally Inaccurate”

It's been rumored this week that the Cowboys could draft a running back and trade Jones

It’s been rumored this week that the Dallas Cowboys have had internal discussions about parting ways with running back Felix Jones--that they’ve discussed drafting a running back and trading Jones away--but according to sources in contact with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, these rumors are just that.

When asked about the idea that the team was considering sending Jones away, three responses came back from team officials, in increasing degrees of vehemence: “No,” said the first; “Not at all,” said the second; and our personal favorite, the third, said, “Hell no! Totally inaccurate.”

So there you go.

Jones posted 527 yards and a touchdown on 127 carries in 2011, but lost his starting job to DeMarco Murray as injuries limited him to 12 games.
