Report: DC Candidate Manusky Headed to San Diego

If a recent report proves true, the Dallas Cowboys can draw a line through Greg Manuskyโ€™s name on their list of potential defensive coordinator candidates.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Manusky, who interviewed with the Cowboys on Wednesday, is slated to be the next defensive coordinator of the San Diego Chargers, who lost their defensive coordinator, Ron Rivera, to the head coaching vacancy in Carolina.

Manusky had served as the San Francisco 49ersโ€™ defensive coordinator for four seasons. Dallasโ€™ interest seemed to hinge on his familiarity with the teamโ€™s preferred 3-4 defense, which he ran, to moderate success, with the โ€˜Niners.

Aside from the Cowboys, the Arizona Cardinals were reportedly interested in the service of Manusky.
