Report: Cowboys Will Pass on Veteran DE Jarvis Moss

Moss worked out for the Cowboys on Wednesday

The Dallas Cowboys have no plans to sign Jarvis Moss after giving the veteran defensive end a workout on Wednesday afternoon at Valley Ranch, Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports.

Moss spent 2012 out of football after finishing up a year-and-a-half stint with the Oakland Raiders. Before that, he was with the Denver Broncos, the team that drafted him in the first round (17th overall) out of Florida in 2007.

The Denton native has recorded a modest 54 tackles and six sacks in five NFL seasons.

With their decision to pass, Dallas still has a pretty glaring need at defensive line, but they'll apparently address it through the league's free agency period and the draft.
