Report: Cowboys Nearing Deal With Asst. Secondary Coach

Joe Baker was let go as the Bucs' secondary coach last month

The Dallas Cowboys spent Senior Bowl week looking not only for potential draft picks, but also a second secondary coach to assist the newly hired Jerome Henderson--and now it appears that they may be close to signing one.

According to ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys are nearing a deal with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ secondary coach Joe Baker. Baker was let go by the Bucs when they began cleaning house last month, and was a college teammate of head coach Jason Garrett while at Princeton.

In all likelihood, the signing of Baker (if the team does, in fact, sign Baker) will complete the Cowboys’ new-look coaching staff.
