Report: Cowboys “Aggressively” Pursuing a Second 1st Round Pick

The Cowboys are reportedly looking to deal for a second first round pick on Thursday night

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones loves shaking things up, and if a recent report holds true, that’s exactly what he’ll do to in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday night in Chicago.

According to Ben Rogers of 105.3-FM The Fan, the Cowboys are “aggressively looking into having TWO 1st round picks tomorrow night.

Considering they’re generally expected to stay put at No. 4 overall, this would mean them trading back into the first round afterward.

Our immediate thought is that the Cowboys will have either defensive back Jalen Ramsey or running back Ezekiel Elliott after their original No. 4 pick, leaving them free (if they trade back in) to go after one of the defensive ends who’s a no-doubt first rounder, but may have been a stretch at No. 4.

Of course, that’s assuming they’re targeting either Ramsey or Elliott at No. 4, and there’s no guarantee they will. They might also go after Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa or even Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner at that spot.
