Report: Brandon Marshall May Be Done for the Year

Marshall took a shot to the back from Cowboys safety Barry Church in Thursday's 41-28 Dallas win

The Chicago Bears fear wide receiver Brandon Marshallโ€™s season could be over after taking a knee to the back from safety Barry Church in the second quarter of the Cowboys 41-28 win Thursday night, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

According to Rapoport, Marshall was taken to a Chicago area hospital after leaving the game. The team thinks he may have suffered broken ribs, and doctors will examine his spleen as well. With just three weeks left in the regular season, if Marshall does have a ruptured spleen, his season will almost certainly be over.

Marshall, the Bearsโ€™ No. 1 receiver, had three catches for 61 yards against the Cowboys on Thursday night before exiting. On the season to this point, Marshall has 61 catches for 721 yards and eight touchdowns.
