RB Limbo Will Make it Tough on Boys

When DeMarco Murray went down with an ankle injury in the Cowboys' Sunday night loss to the New York Giants a couple of weeks back, it didn't quite settle.

You know, that feeling of complete uncertainty at the running back position?

It's crazy to say, but it would seem Cowboys fans are holding their breath on every snap with Felix Jones in the backfield and it's not because of a lack of talent.

Jones has plenty of talent, but he also has a tendency to get hurt and miss games, as he did earlier this year paving the way for Murray to break out and make a push for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors until he went down himself.

In his two games since Murray went down, including the Giants game when he took over, Jones has run for 106 and 108 yards.

Now Cowboys fans just have to cross their fingers that Jones can stay healthy for a good stretch of games (including a possible playoff run). Either that or we'll have to see what former Texas Tech great and NFL veteran Sammy Morris can do in a starting role, or even worse, former practice squader Chauncey Washington. If it gets to that point, we're really in for a ride.
