Pro Bowl Wins DFW Ratings Battle

A lot of people in North Texas watched the 2015 Pro Bowl on Sunday night

As much as we joke about how no one watches the Pro Bowl, the NFL’s annual all-star game won the day in terms of ratings on Sunday, at least here in North Texas.

According to Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News, ESPN’s presentation of the Pro Bowl drew a rating of 8.1 in Dallas-Fort Worth. Among those competing with the showdown between Team Irvin and Team Carter were the Miss Universe pageant, which got a 4.2, and 60 Minutes, which got a 6.2 locally.

The Mavericks-Pelicans game, which started two hours before the Pro Bowl kicked off, drew a 2.9 rating in DFW.

Team Irvin ended up defeating Team Carter 32-28.
