In a weekly post, we'll talk about where teams in the NFC East sit after each weekend of play.
1. New York Giants (2-2) — The Giants have won two straight games after coughing away their first two games of the year, and to much surprise, the defense doesn't look like a complete train wreck despite several injuries that appeared to shoot them down before the season even began. With all that said, you can't call anyone in the division a prohibitive favorite. Next up: Sunday, 7:30 p.m., vs. San Francisco Giants.
2. Dallas Cowboys (2-2) — Thanks to a pretty respectable day from the offense given their injuries, the Cowboys check in at No. 2 despite losing their second straight game after a 2-0 start. The defense, on the other hand, was terrible. Now, they get Greg Hardy and possibly Rolando McClain and will soon have Randy Gregory back in the fold. Next up: Sunday, 3:25 p.m., vs. New England Patriots.
3. Washington Redskins (2-2) — The Redskins were able to hold off the Eagles, but not much else positive can be said about them right now. They aren't good, and it says a lot that the downtrodden Cowboys are ahead of them, and even will be next week when they have a losing record. Next up: Sunday, noon, at Atlanta Falcons.
4. Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) — DeMarco Murray was better on Sunday, but he still just got eight carries and finally spoke up about his displeasure with Chip Kelly's offense after the loss to the Redskins. Sam Bradford did look better, throwing three touchdowns and no picks, but this team is still a mess. Next up: Sunday, noon, vs. New Orleans Saints.
