Potential Target: Byron Maxwell

Target: Byron Maxwell, Cornerback

2014 stats: 50 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 3 interceptions (including postseason)

Sure, Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas get tons of attention for leading the Seattle Seahawks' secondary, which is also known as the "Legion of Boom." They're a big reason the Seahawks were one questionable play call away from repeating as Super Bowl champions last weekend.

But there are other guys who contribute to the success of the LOB, and one of those guys is a free agent this offseason.

Byron Maxwell has been a pretty serviceable cornerback for the Seahawks the past two seasons. In fact, over that time, Maxwell has 24 pass breakups, six interceptions and three forced fumbles. The dude can play. Dallas has two good cornerbacks in Brandon Carr and Orlando Scandrick, but Carr could be on his way out after underperforming given his big contract. Scandrick is a physical corner who brings a nasty edge to the Cowboys' defense, and Maxwell could add to that in a big way with some of the LOB mindset.
