Orakpo “Wouldn't Mind” Coming to Dallas

Brian Orakpo is set to become a free agent after six years with the Redskins

Since 2009, Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo has considered the Cowboys the enemy, but the free agent-to-be wouldn’t have a problem with going to Dallas.

Orakpo, who is from Houston and attended the University of Texas before the Redskins made him the 13th overall pick in the 2009 Draft, spoke about free agency to NFL Network’s “NFL AM” on Friday.

"I wouldn't mind it, I wouldn't mind it," he said of playing in Dallas. "I mean, I know it's been a big rivalry for years, but I'm a Texas boy man, so I wouldn't mind it."

Orakpo could always return to the Redskins, but he didn’t sound terribly optimistic that the two sides would come to an agreement.

"Obviously a window is still there," he said. "Sides are still talking but it's very minimal right now as far as, you know, it's always numbers. Numbers have to make sense for both sides, and I understand, me coming off injury, they have to look out for themselves and also I have to look out for myself. If we can come up with something that works for both sides, who knows?"

Orakpo was limited to seven games and just a half sack last year as he suffered torn pectoral muscle, after recording 10 sacks and going to the Pro Bowl in 2013.
