NFC East Watch: Vernon Davis Lands in Washington

2016 will be Vernon Davis's 11th season in the NFL

The Washington Redskins have agreed to a one-year deal with former 49ers and Broncos tight end Vernon Davis, per ESPN.

Davis finished last season with the Denver Broncos after playing nine and half years with San Francisco. He won a Super Bowl with the Broncos, but had a relatively quiet season statistically, with 38 catches and 395 yards between the two teams.

A Washington DC-native and University of Maryland product, Davis tweeted about his new team on Thursday.

I’M COMING HOME,” Davis wrote. “Let’s do this, @Redskins #DC #DMV”.

Davis comes to the Redskins with 461 career catches for 5,841 yards and 55 touchdowns.
