NFC East Watch: Tuck Excited to Test Free Agency

Justin Tuck has spent all nine of his NFL seasons with the Giants

Giants defensive end and longtime Cowboys tormentor Justin Tuck is set to become a free agent in March, and he’s apparently pretty excited about testing the market.

β€œI think I’m a pretty good football player, and I’m pretty sure there will be some interest,” Tuck told Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post.

If Tuck departs, he will be the second big name defensive linemen to leave New York in the past two years. Last year, Osi Umenyiora found a new home with the Atlanta Falcons after 10 seasons with the Giants. Tuck has spent nine seasons with the team.

In 2013, Tuck had 63 tackles, 11 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles. 1.5 of those sacks came against the Cowboys, and he had more tackles (12) against Dallas than any other opponent.
