NFC East Watch: Beckham's Hamstring “Feeling a Lot Better”

Odell Beckham Jr. was forced to miss offseason workouts with a nagging hamstring injury

Last year, Odell Beckham, Jr. missed the first four games of the season with a nagging hamstring injury, before getting on the field and promptly earning a reputation as maybe the most exciting young receiver in the game. So this offseason, there was no more unwelcome sight for Giants fans than Beckham on the sidelines of offseason workouts, nursing another hamstring injury (the right one this time).

The good news for that group is that, as of now, Beckham says he’s on the mend.

It feels a lot better actually,” Beckham said of his right hamstring in a sit-down with NFL Media’s Kim Jones. “I’d rather be healthy than anything else. I just don’t want to go through what I had to go through last year and not just for myself, for this team.”

Beckham was asked if he’ll be ready for the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

“That’s the plan,” Beckham said.
