Murray Outgains McCoy in Rematch

DeMarco Murray posted 81 hard-fought yards on 31 carries in Sunday night's win over the Eagles

Sunday night was not DeMarco Murray’s prettiest rushing performance of the season. Far from it. But he worked his way to 81 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries and, for those who care about such things, out-gained the Eagles’ LeSean McCoy. McCoy was held to 64 yards on 16 carries.

In the teams’ first matchup on Thanksgiving Day, McCoy ran roughshod over the Dallas defense to the tune of 159 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, while Murray was held to a season-low 73 yards and a score on 20 carries.

Murray was quick to praise the Eagles’ defensive front, which made him work for every inch on Sunday night, after the 38-27 victory.

It was a damn good D-line, a damn good defense,” Murray said, per ESPN Dallas. “These kind of games, you’ve just got to fight and claw. They won a couple of times but we were able to get a couple wins as well.”
