The Dallas Cowboys opted to let DeMarco Murray test the waters in free agency, but Murray is leaning toward returning if the team if they put in a competitive offer, according to a report by ESPN’s Ed Werder.

Murray led the NFL in rushing in 2014, and set a new franchise record in carries with 392 and yards with 1,845. He also scored 13 touchdowns and had 57 receptions for 416 yards.

An Oklahoma product, Murray was drafted by the Cowboys in the third round of the 2011 Draft. In 2014, Murray was named the AP Offensive Player of the Year, and played in all 16 games for the first time in his career.
