Mincey Fined $8K For Personal Foul in Win Over Giants

Jeremy Mincey is the first Cowboy of 2015 to earn a fine from league offices

The NFL league offices have reached out to Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey, to dock him some pay for shoving Giants rookie tackle Ereck Flowers during Sunday night’s 27-26 victory.

Mincey has been fined $8,681, to be exact.

"I can deal with it," Mincey said, per Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. "I’m a grown man. Things happen."

Mincey shoved Flowers in the face mask during the Giants’ final scoring drive on Sunday night--the controversial one--and knocked his helmet off. He was flagged for a personal foul, which gave the Giants a 1st down when they would have otherwise been facing a 3rd down.

Thanks in great part to some mindless mistakes on the other side, the Cowboys escaped with a win. But Mincey knows he can’t afford to lose control like he did.

"I should’ve known better than that," Mincey said. "I just snapped, and things like that happen sometimes in life. You get frustrated. It wasn’t the game. I had a million things going through my mind. I should’ve been focused on my job instead of worried about what a rookie tackle was doing."
