Miller Sets Free Agency Price

We've made no bones about it here that the Cowboys need to pursue a nice No. 1 running back in free agency this year to step in front of veteran Darren McFadden on the depth chart.

McFadden had a fantastic year in 2015 -- better than anyone could've hoped for or expected -- but it's unlikely he'll duplicate it in 2016, and he'd be best served as a change-of-pace guy. So where do they turn? Well our first option would have to be Miami's Lamar Miller.

Miller spoke about what he's hoping to get, and it's DeMarco Murray territory at roughly $5 million per year, which is a premium price for a starting running back in this day and age.

Will the Cowboys be willing to meet that ask? It seems unlikely. What seems more likely is making McFadden the guy again with someone else behind him, and while McFadden was very good in 2015, that's a recipe for disaster.
