Micah Pellerin Waived by Cowboys

Pellerin has appeared in three games this season

The Dallas Cowboys have waived cornerback Micah Pellerin, leaving an empty spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

Almost exactly a month ago, Pellerin was promoted to the actice roster from the practice squad in the wake of Tyler Patmon suffering a sprained MCL. Pellerin appeared in three games after being called up but didn’t record a tackle.

As Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas points out, this could be a sign that Patmon is getting close to returning.

“We’ll give him a chance to practice a little bit on Wednesday and see how he responds to that,” head coach Jason Garrett said of Patmon. “But he’s been a good player for us, and that package against certain teams and certain personnel groups has been something that we’ve used a little bit. So depending on what his availability is that might be a possibility.”
