Mel Kiper Jr. Could See Jared Goff Landing in Dallas

The Cal star is in the top tier of quarterbacks in the Class of 2016

ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. has the Dallas Cowboys taking Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner in his latest mock draft, but he could see Cal quarterback Jared Goff landing in Dallas at No. 4 overall next month in Chicago.

"Goff could go—at 6'4", now 215, I like the way he spins it, I like his maneuverability in the pocket—I think he could go to Dallas, or he could go to San Francisco or his ceiling may be the L.A. Rams at 15,” Kiper said in a recent appearance on The Dan LeBatard Show, via the Dallas Morning News.

Even if the Cowboys target Goff in the first round, Kiper doesn’t believe he’ll be the first quarterback taken. He sees North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz going to the Browns at No. 2.
