McClain Returns, Romo Sidelined

Rolando McClain missed Wednesday's practice with a shoulder issue

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session with a shoulder issue, a minor injury suffered during Monday night’s loss to the Washington Redskins.

He started feeling it over the last 48 hours or so,” head coach Jason Garrett said of McClain. “We anticipate him doing something today, the extent of which we don’t know yet.”

Garrett mentioned that Tony Romo wouldn’t do much if he did anything at all in practice after suffering that back injury on Monday night, and said that this current injury is unrelated to the injury that ended his season in Week 16 last year.

“We don’t think that’s the nature of this injury,” Garrett said. “As much as anything else, it’s being able to handle the pain to the point where he can function and do his job. And that’s where we are and we’ll see how he does over the next few days to answer that question.”
