Martellus Bennett Is A Giant

Bennett Tweeted the news Wednesday afternoon

Tight end Martellus Bennett is the newest New York Giant.

Bennett, who spent four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys after being drafted in the second round in 2008, Tweeted the news on Wednesday afternoon. โ€œI'm officially a New York Giant!! #NYGโ€, Bennett said, per the ESPN NFC East Twitter feed.

A Texas A&M product, Bennett never rounded into much of a receiving threat--at least not as much of one as the Cowboys might have hoped--but he did become one of the better blocking tight ends in the league.

Bennett finishes his career in Dallas with 85 catches for 846 yards and four touchdowns--all of which came in his rookie season of 2008.
