Marshawn Lynch “Leaning Toward Retirement”?

Lynch is about to turn 30 and was limited to seven games in 2015

Seattle Seahawks running back and free agent-to-be Marshawn Lynch has been mentioned in connection with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, presumably only because he’s a big name on the free agent market and the Cowboys are rumored to be interested in just about every big name on the free agent market.

But there’s nothing to suggest the Cowboys will pursue Lynch, and now, it looks like they might not even get a chance to consider the idea.

In a radio appearance on 710-AM ESPN Seattle Friday, Seahawks general manager John Schneider said he believes Lynch, 30, is leaning toward retirement.

"I know that we're going to treat him with as much respect as we possibly can here, and give him a little leeway to kind of find his way in terms of what he wants to do," Schneider said. "But I'm under the impression that he's leaning toward retirement."
